Black Nativity 2015

Dec 17th -  Rehearsal process was a little tough this year as PAC is experiencing a few growth pains...i.e. Adjustment in location.. For the first time we did not have our own rehearsal space ... This was definitely a challenge but it also opened the door for some very positive partnering and collaboration in the community... Allowing groups who have not previously been exposed to what we do to be a part of the process... The generosity of the City space on Henry street, Masonic lodge across from Forsyth park, Beach High School chorus room, and  First Congregational church downtown on Habersham street , for auditions and rehearsal space is so appreciated  and  the performance venue of course -The Savannah Arts Academy formerly Savannah High where I began seriously writing and performing music and theater is just the perfect place for this years show...
Several of my dear friends who also attended waaaaaay back then with me and just after me are returning to perform on those boards where we began so long ago... Kinda cool!
CONNECT SAVANNAH really outdid themselves with great photos and fantastic article
and even gave us the cover on the week of the show!

Dec 19th - With larger venue the challenge is to get the butts in the seats. We pushed group rates and advanced sales online harder than ever.. With one show down and 2 to go let's hope our efforts pay off...
We noticed with online sales push we are having more people than ever come from out of town to see the show.. Several from as far as Atlanta and the Mid to Southern Florida areas so kudos for that...
Even with newspaper and digital push along with invites to churches and organizations I still get calls  from local people about when and where and even if we are doing the show..so In that regard back to the strategic drawing board getting Savanniahans in the seats and to make it a holiday tradition for their families...  Gotta go... More later...

Dec 25th.  Today is Christmas and several people have posted video from the show... It looks and sounds really good. Well  the show went well even with some audio / technical challenges for the first 2  seatings...really great audience response through out the run... 3rd show was the best in terms of audience being able to hear everything.  Really great camaraderie throughout the whole process.. Including the Savannah Summit and Candler Hospital shows. We had great food and fellowship at the cast party. We hope to utilize the same venue next year and have been offered more of a partnership than client relationship and that is a great thing.. So looking forward to that.
